Circa 1950’s 22ct Solid GOLD, RUBIES & PEARLS BRIDAL WEDDING SET VINTAGE 47.3g

Circa 1950’s 22ct Solid GOLD, RUBIES & PEARLS BRIDAL WEDDING SET VINTAGE 47.3g. This wonderful set is AT LEAST 1950. I know this because it belonged to my mother who got married in 1950. It was given to her on her wedding day and from what I have been told, it is a traditional Bengali Bridal/Wedding set. All gemstones are genuine and natural. Heavy piece with central large pendant followed by 5 smaller pendants on each side. All the pendants hold a ruby at the base and at the top – one is missing from the top of the end pendant and the bottom of another one. Altogether there are the following stones. 10 rubies at 2.5mm. 28 rubies at 2mm. 1 ruby at 4mm. 32 rubies between 1-2mm. There are many small genuine seed pearls – 7 missing. Length of necklace is 17.5 inches. No hallmarks but a lot of the older pieces were not – however; this has been appraised by a jeweller as 22ct gold. Central pendant measures 3.4cm in height and 2.3cm in width. NB: A lot of the stones from this beautiful bangle have fallen out over time. Looking at it closely, this applies more to the pearls than the rubies. This bangle is an old piece, from a wedding bridal jewellery suite circa 1950’s. Lovely heavy piece weighing 17.97g. The gold is a bright yellow, with split pearls and rubies – I do think the rubies are natural as opposed to heat treated. Not hallmarked as many old Indian pieces were not. Width of bangle is 11mm. Inner diameter is 5.9cm. Most rubies measuring between 2-2.5mm, a few that are smaller. Measures 2cm x1.2cm. Posts are quite thick, but these can very easily be’shaved’ down to form thinner posts. “Georgian 15ct Gold & Pearl Set Brooch” Circa 1820. The brooch is in very good condition with no dings or dents and the pin and safety chain are intact. The brooch is set with half pearls which seem well matched (there is one small pearl missing commensurate with its age and use however this could easily be replaced). It is not hallmarked but has been tested as a minimum of 15 carat gold. It measures 37mm across x 29mm and it weighs a heavy 7.3 grams. Presented is an antique, 14 karat yellow gold, platinum, pearl and Mother of Pearl mens suit cuff link, vest buttons and shirt stud set made during the very early 1900s. The complete set includes a pair of cufflinks and also has shirt studs and vest buttons. Each piece is marked platinum and 14K. Handsome two tone yellow gold and platinum. The “mother of pearl” has nice pearlescence. This set is in excellent condition. Each cufflink measures slightly over 1/2 of an inch in diameter and there is 3/4 of an inch in between the decorative ends. DATE/MARK: There is no hallmark however we have acid tested the pendant and in our opinion it is 18 carat gold. DIMENSIONS: The length of the pendant including bale is 32.4mm Approx. The width of the pendant is 23.2mm Approx. WEIGHT: The weight of the pendant is 4.6 grams Approx. Beautiful antique hardstone cameo pendant. This is a wonderful pendant set in 18 carat gold. The pendant is round with a fabulous hardstone cameo in the centre. Set around the cameo are twenty three petite pearls with a creamy grey colouring. The bale of the pendant is also set with a petite pearl. There is no hallmark however we have acid tested the pendant and in our opinion it is 18 carat gold.
