Antique 15ct Gold Pearl Set Mourning Oblong Brooch (Inlaid with hair). A beautiful small mourning brooch made of 15ct gold with plaited hair in the centre of a raised glass frame. Surrounded by a seed pearl edging. There are twenty-four small seed pearls all individually set in a continuous row along the oblong edge. With a 15ct rose gold back this superb looking antique piece of jewellery is complete with a secure pin clasp on the reverse. The brooch is tested 15carat gold, and would have been made between 1854 and 1932, the period in which 15carat gold was used and weighs 4.2grams. The brooch measures 21mm x 17mm x 7mm.
