Antique Victorian jewelry set consisting of earrings and pendant. 9k gold, turquoise and tiny pearls. Most likely made in the United Kingdom, circa 1870-90. Measurements: Weight is 4.0 grams. Length of earrings is approximately 7/8 inch (23mm); length of pendant, not including bale is 21mm. Description : Small earrings and pendant. Earrings consist of round disks entirely pave set with turquoise cabochons, slightly raised towards the center, like a flower. Connected by tiny gold links are small oval cabochon turquoise fowers, that can move independently of the surmounts, swinging and swaying as the wearer moves. Matching pendant with larger, round flower drop below a pair of smaller turquoise flowers with tiny pearls in their centers. Generous gold bale and posts are later replacements, which is typical of Victorian jewelry and makes it easier for the modern woman to insert and wear. Highly wearable for any woman, including a young girl, this small set is classic Victorian. The Victorians adored turquoise jewelry, which suits every complexion and age. Very pretty, versatile set. Marks and Metal: no marks on earrings or pendant. Butterflies of posts are marked 14k.
