Pearl Gold Set

These are a lovely pair of Victorian Pearl and Diamond earrings on 18ct Rose Gold, with gold leverback settings. The Pearl and Diamonds are set on the leaverback setting and do not drop, they have a dainty Old Cut Diamond above the pearl which are set in a diamond shaped setting. The Pearls below these dainty Diamonds are is set in a raised open work gold crown style setting. The diamond settings are white which is most likely silver due to the age of the earings, platinum was not uses until the early part of the 20th century and these earings would date to before then. The leaverback fittings work well with a secure fastening and good hinge action. The earing both bear the French eagle hallmark for 18ct gold and they also have a makers mark which I beleive to be either O C or O G (the mark is very small and difficult to determine with any certainty) which could be for possibly O C for Orjeure Christofle 1853 – 1935, please do your own research to confirm. The Pearls are apporx 3.5mm each The Old cut Diamonds are approx 1mm each The Diameter of the Pearl setting is approx 5mm The depth of the setting is approx 6mm Total drop is approx 1.4cm Weight 2.1 grams approx The earings are in good condition, however, please remember that this item is not brand new and as such it will show signs of previous use as we would expect from an Antique/vintage item.
