This fine quality Antique Necklace, which is approx’ 42.0cms long & weighs 9.8 grams, is stamped on the reverse with a fineness mark’15ct’ confirming that it is made from solid 15ct Gold. As shown, it has been beautifully crafted with a central Floral Cluster within an ovalised openwork setting flanked to either side by scrolling openwork side pieces, both embellished with foliate decoration and all set with fine Seed Pearls. DETAILS: 15ct Yellow Gold 9 Stone Synthetic Ruby and seed Pearl Edwardian bangle. 3 round Rubies square grain set with 6 round Seed Pearls square grain set alternately with twisted wire and ball features alternately & on sides of a flat hollow. 5.08mm wide oval hinged bangle with concealed box clasp and safety chain attached. CONDITION: Excellent Vintage condition showing little or no wear. The stones are all well set and the catch and safety chain are both in. There are no chips, scratches or dents. The piece is stamped 15ct 625. This means it has a gold content of 625 parts per 1000 or 62.5% gold. This was a british Commonwealth standard for high carat, strongly yellow and reasonably hard gold that was used in pieces that had a lot of wear like bracelets and chains that required a high quality gold.
