DESCRIPTION: A stunning Bracelet that is a wonderful example of the craftsmanship, beauty and style of the Vintage era. The bracelet is resplendent in colour and design. Featuring gorgeous pink Rubies which are enhanced by the lovely white pearls all beautifully set into a fine crown of finely worked scrolled filigree gold. DETAILS: 15ct Yellow Gold 9 Stone Synthetic Ruby and seed Pearl Edwardian bangle. 3 round Rubies square grain set with 6 round Seed Pearls square grain set alternately with twisted wire and ball features alternately & on sides of a flat hollow. 5.08mm wide oval hinged bangle with concealed box clasp and safety chain attached. CONDITION: Excellent Vintage condition showing little or no wear. The stones are all well set and the catch and safety chain are both in. There are no chips, scratches or dents. The piece is stamped 15ct 625. This means it has a gold content of 625 parts per 1000 or 62.5% gold. This was a british Commonwealth standard for high carat, strongly yellow and reasonably hard gold that was used in pieces that had a lot of wear like bracelets and chains that required a high quality gold. Antique French 1.75ct Ruby & Pearl Enamel & 18K Yellow Gold Bangle & Brooch Set. Presented is an antique French ruby, natural pearl & enamel 18K yellow gold bangle & brooch set. This fantastic rare set features detailed hand worked decorations in the gold around fine old cut rubies, natural pearls and even tassels dropping from the brooch. You have to admire the pinkish red rubies worked up on tall prongs as well as fine etching through the gold and delicate enamel inlay to finish this finely designed set. As you can see, this set comes with a special made box. We believe that there were two other pieces in the set which were lost over the years, but at least the bangle and brooch are in good condition with light wear on the gold and a little enamel missing. The rubies in this set are old mine cut weighing approximately 1.75 carats total; these rubies are pinkish red with natural inclusions. The pearls are natural untreated, some are cut in half in order to serve the purpose of the design and they are accented with black enamel around the frame of the pieces. This set was hand made in 18K yellow gold plus it weighs 46.6 grams total. This bangle measures 1.77 inches (45mm) wide and it should fit a 6.25 inch wrist. The brooch measures 2.95 inches by 2.83 inches (75mm by 72mm) and it has tassel style decorations dropping at the bottom. The set is overall well kept with light wear on the surface of the gold, light wear on the enamel and rich patina. The bangle has a couple of old French hallmarks on the gold.
