Stone: Natural Genuine Pearls (3) Set on the top of the pendant/brooch and the earrings. The one on the brooch/pendant measures 7mm and the ones in the earrings measure 2.80mm. Natural Genuine Diamonds (13) Old Antique Rose cut. Hard to determine weight on such old diamonds but approx. Dimensions/Size: Brooch/Pendant measures 66.80mm 2.63in. Top to bottom NOT counting the bail but counting the tassels and 14.24mm 3.62in. Side to side in diameter. Earrings measure 50.8mm 2.0in. Top to bottom from the top of the french hook backing to bottom of the tassel and measure 17mm 0.67in. Earring backing/Brooch-Pin Backing: Earrings have french hook that have a slight swivel for comfortable wear. The earring back / findings are 20th century replacements. The collection consists of 5 articles of jewelry. Two brooches, a necklace with pendant and two pairs of earrings. The pieces are made of Seed Pearls sewn over carved mother of pearl with horse hair. The metal is mostly solid yellow gold but the post earrings have a steel backing as well as gold. Georgian Jewelry 1714 1830. By Ginny Redington Dawes and Olivia Collings, Seed pearls, tiny natural pearls from India, were essential part of Georgian jewellery. They were made into long tasseled sautiors, or threaded into intricate designs to support slides and clasps, out sued as surrounds for gemstones. The necklace clasp is hallmarked 14K. It measures 18.5″ long, the pendant measures 1.9″ x. The Cross Brooch measures 1.6″ x 1.2″. The back is engraved From Fletcher Dec. 19th 1854 The gold tests as 18K. The large flower brooch measures 3.75″ x 2.1″. The gold tests as 14k. The long screw back earrings measure 2.2 x. The screw backs are hallmarked 10K. The post earrings measure.
