Vintage Designer Trifari Earrings. Here is a very beautiful and hard to find vintage earring set, designed by Trifari. This gorgeous set is from the designer’s highly coveted 1959 “Sorrento” jewelry collection. These pieces are exquisitely fashioned in a floral and leaf motif with very attractive and unusually shaped luminous faux baroque pearls (also knows as “baby tooth”) and glittering smoky gray rhinestones, all set in a gleaming gold tone metal setting. The faux pearls flowers have gold tone textured leaves with unfurling tips that are embellished with gorgeous accents of shimmering pave set smoky gray rhinestones made to resemble black diamonds. The earrings are in a clip-on style. Pieces from this particular line of jewelry were featured in the “Sorrento” collection in a 1959 magazine advertisement for Trifari. I have enclosed in my pictures a copy of the ad for reference. The earrings measure 6/8″ x 1″. This fabulous jewelry is in great vintage condition.
