Rare Gold Enamel Half-pearl Set Minute Repeater, Artful Emanelled, With Box

A rare, high-quality gold enamel pocket watch. Half-pearl set on both sides. With artful, polychrome enamel painting. On engine-turned, translucent cobalt blue ground. Date of manufacture approx. Manufactured for the Chinese market. This rare gold-enamel pocket watch with minute repeating is a masterstroke of the past century, it was made around 1900 in western Switzerland. Especially noteworthy is the high-quality execution of the gold case. The gold enamel case is half pearl-set on the edge and has the elaborately decorated band. The translucent cobalt blue enamelled medallions on a fine engine-turned background present the polychrome depiction of a beauty on the front and an idyllic motive on the back side with a gallant togetherness scene. The plain, very clearly structured enamel dial has radial Roman numerals and outer five-minute divisions. It appears expecially decent and elegant with blued Spade hands. The 14k gold case has a lateral slide for the repetition, which speaks for the high quality of this watch. The high-quality, stripe-decorated movement is protected behind a 14k gold dome. The minute repetition, which will be triggered by a slide at “6”, sounds via 2 hammers and 2 gongs. The repetition sounds loud and has a beautiful sound. Details on the watch. Das schlichte, sehr klar gegliederte Emailzifferblatt hat radiale römische Zahlen und eine äußere Fünfminutenteilung. Es erscheint besonders dezent und elegant mit gebläuten Spade-Zeigern. Das 14Kt Goldgehäuse hat einen seitlichen Schieber für die Repetitionsauslösung, was für die Hochwertigkeit der Uhr spricht. Das qualitätsvolle, streifendekorierte Werk liegt geschützt hinter einer 14Kt Goldcuvette. Die Minutenrepetition, die über einen Schieber bei “6” ausgelöst wird, erklingt über 2 Hämmer und 2 Tonfedern. Das Werk ist voll funktionstüchtig und läuft sehr gut. Randseitig mit Perlen besetzt. Complete, in Original Fitted Case and in Very Good Condition. This stylish antique dress set is made of hallmarked 9ct rose gold with seed pearl, mother of pearl and black enamel rims. The set comprises of 1 x chain linked pair of cufflinks, 4 x dress buttons and 2 x collar studs. The items are in their original fitted case, which is in good condition. Antique Bohemian Necklace Gilt Silver Chrysoprase Moldavite Pearls Enamel /47g

Are and striking 1880s – 1920s Renaissance Revival Austro Hungarian Necklace. Beautiful whimsical decor of swirls and flowers in Gilt Silver makes a fine frame for three bezel set natural. Stones, one largest cut cabochon and two rounds, two half/Pearls and Old european diamond cut. Settings of gradual diameters used both on the pendant and on the links of the chain. All parts accented with decorations in Green, Black and White Enamels. Hand made in Austria / Hungary or Bohemian. Great example of old Austrian – Hungarian jewelry making School. Most interesting settings are old European cut Moldovites of course, these weird stones were quite commonly used in jewelery making on the territory of the Empire for the natural deposits of that meteoritic glass were located in Austian-Hungarian crown land of Bohemia / former. Marks: the V lock on the necklace marked 835 and with marks of Austrian maker PV – little is unknown to me, but my sales statistics of similar pieces with his marks indicate that he most likely worked in the city of Vienna. Measurements : The Necklace is 43 cm closed. Central oval pendant(without smaller pendant attached to it) is 45 mm x 35 mm x 18mm deep. Smaller pendant is 20 mm x 17 mm x 6 mm. Largest Chrysoprase stone is 15.5 mm x 11.5 x 6 mm / about 7.25 ct. Used Fine condition Minor local enamel losses, very minor wear to Gilding, minor wear to the facets of the Stones. One of 6 Moldavite stones on the pendant was once lost /replaced with round cut green stone, likely Chrysoprase. This necklace is one of a few other strikingly original and decorative Austrian-Hungarian examples in similar styles with various settings that I offer for sale. You may find other Bohemian /Austrian necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings listed in my shops’s inventory. Footnotes: Fine make, complexly structured and one-of-a-kind design, this set is both very Special and Fun to Wear. The Austrian, Hungarian and Czech Bohemian Jewelers created designs in this same style between 1880s – 1930s all beautifully detailed on the front, and often feature equally beautiful detail and whimsical designs on the back. They would very often use semi and precious/natural stones, paste stones(garnet glass), natural pearls and imitations as settings. They constructed these beauties of Silver and gilded them lightly with Gold, often adding parts in solid Gold and further embellishments with Enamels of multiple colors and Pearls.
