The brooch is unmarked but has been tested for minimum 9 carat gold. The brooch measures approx. 30.4mm by 27.1mm or 1 1/4” by 1 1/16”. The weight is 6.4grams. Condition : is in good used condition, one garnet shows large chip to the one edge and small chip to the other edge, rest of the garnets show signs of use commensurate with edge. Georgian Foiled Flat cut Garnet & Pearl Pendant with Garnet Earrings Set in Gold

This lovely, authentic Georgian period pendant and matching earrings is English and in excellent condition. The pendant has a closed setting with a foiled round flat cut garnet at the top and two garnet-set chains descending to a large, oval, flat cut garnet. A pearl is suspended from the top garnet and has a tiny garnet terminal. Two pearls and a closed back, foiled teardrop shaped garnet are linked by the chain to the large, oval garnet. The pendant is shown with a ribbon attached so the length may be adjusted but would lovely hung from a gold chain. The matching earrings are set in gold, closed-back with foiled, teardrop shaped garnets. The garnets all have nice rounded gold backs verso. The pendant measures approximately 1 7/8″ long x 3/4″ wide. The earrings measure approximately 15/16 long. Weight: 4.9 grams.
