14K White Gold 11mm Tahitian Pearl Diamond Earrings Floral Back Setting. Feature gorgeous silvery gray Tahitian pearls and prong-set sparkly white diamonds. It’s a very rare luck to match two Tahitian pearls of identical size and color. Color intensity of each Tahitian pearl is absolutely unique and unpredictable. Sleek contemporary design, elegant and very wearable. The earrings measure 15 mm long, by 11 mm at widest part. Gray pearls measure 11-12 mm in diameter. Weight 7.6 grams. Stamped 568 (European marking for 14K gold) on the base of the omega locks and 14K on the post. Tahitian pearls are only harvested in French Polynesia. Dark Tahitian pearls are 100% naturally pigmented, free of artificial dyes. The color accumulates due to melanin production that darkens the pearl naturally as it forms within the shell. Tahitian pearls are the only black pearls, dark freshwater and Akoya pearls are artificially dyed. What is dark-colored freshwater or Akoya pearl? These are pearls artificially colored by nitrate of silver, as these pearls are always white in nature. If you examine them closely, you will see blotches of coagulated pigment on the surface indicating that the agent was used. Tinted dark pearls may appear intriguing, but they have nothing in common with genuine Tahitian pearls. Vintage Miriam Haskell Gold Floral Filigree Pink Rhinestone Bead Brooch Earrings

This is a lovely very old vintage Miriam Haskell brooch earring set. The set has a rich antiqued gold finish which is completely intact. The set is adorned with sparkling icy pink seed beads, light pink druk glass beads, clear pink oblong beads and cotton candy prong set rhinestones. The set also has a lovely floral filigree with leaves and flowers. Beads are attached by wire in the hallmark style of Miriam Haskell. Some of the wire has darkened over the years. There are a couple of patches of verdigris about ½ mm in diameter, very small. The brooch has a lovely filigree back and has a fold over clasp in good working order. The earrings are clip-on, in good working order, and all pieces are signed Miriam Haskell. The brooch measures 2 ¼ inches (5.6cm) tall and wide. The earrings measure 1 inch (25cm) tall and ½ inches (1.25 cm) wide. Overall, this brooch and earring set is in great condition for its age. Each piece in the set consists of one cultured pearl, measuring 7 mm wide and bluish gray in color. Each pearl is surrounded by 0.15 carats of genuine round brilliant cut diamonds, making the total carat weight of the entire set 0.60 carats. The diamonds are eye clean, and have been jeweler graded to be SI2 in clarity and I in color. They are pave set with three diamonds on each petal, in a five petal floral cluster. Each cluster measures 11 mm wide at its widest point. The earrings have pushback backings, and the pair has a total weight of 3.8 grams. The pendant has an extending bail, and weighs 2 grams.
