We have on offer this antique Georgian 9 carat yellow gold mourning brooch with foil set flat cut garnets , seed pearls and plaited hair under crystal glass with chamfered edge to the centre. The brooch is unmarked but has been tested for minimum 9 carat gold. The brooch measures approx. 30.4mm by 27.1mm or 1 1/4” by 1 1/16”. The weight is 6.4grams. Condition : is in good used condition, one garnet shows large chip to the one edge and small chip to the other edge, rest of the garnets show signs of use commensurate with edge. Georgian Foiled Flat cut Garnet & Pearl Pendant with Garnet Earrings Set in Gold

This lovely, authentic Georgian period pendant and matching earrings is English and in excellent condition. The pendant has a closed setting with a foiled round flat cut garnet at the top and two garnet-set chains descending to a large, oval, flat cut garnet. A pearl is suspended from the top garnet and has a tiny garnet terminal. Two pearls and a closed back, foiled teardrop shaped garnet are linked by the chain to the large, oval garnet. The pendant is shown with a ribbon attached so the length may be adjusted but would lovely hung from a gold chain. The matching earrings are set in gold, closed-back with foiled, teardrop shaped garnets. The garnets all have nice rounded gold backs verso. The pendant measures approximately 1 7/8″ long x 3/4″ wide. The earrings measure approximately 15/16 long. Weight: 4.9 grams. Antique Georgian Earrings Brooch Set 18k Gold Pearls Enamel French Boxed (6089)

Antique Georgian Charles X demi-parure set earrings ear pendants and brooch in original fitted box. 18k yellow gold, natural seed pearls, enamel and diamonds. Made in France circa 1825. Measurements: Earrings are approximately 2 1/8 inch (5.5cm) long, not including the wires. Brooch is approximately 1 1/2 inches (3.75cm) long. Combined weight is 8.9 grams. Jewelry set consisting of a pair of long, pendant earrings that can be worn more simply by day or more elegantly by night. Earrings like this are known as’Top/drop or day/night’ because the surmounts can be worn alone by day and the pendant drops added at night for a more elegant look. The earrings are long and rectangular. Gold mounts surround a rectangular black enamel drop and a square black enamel top. Both top and drop are adorned with additional scrolling and fruit for added interest. Under the tops there are minute flowers. The centers of both top and drops are set with a flower composed of small seed pearls raised in a silver collette. Their centers appear to include tiny rose cut diamonds but they are so small as to be barely visible. Wires are inserted back to front of ear lobe and are comfortable to wear. Brooch echoes the design of the earrings on a slighly larger scale. Still in their original, fitted box, this is a beautiful set, about 200 years old that can be worn today with as much effect and Wow appeal as when they were first made. The quality of the workmanship is fabulous and the look is stunning. Black may have been the color of mourning, but today it is the color of the chic, elegant woman. This set will match and enhance any outfit. Condition: good with negligible wear commensurate with age. Marks: there are a number of hallmarks on each earring: the loops are hallmarked and the wires of the tops have both the makers mark and the ram’s head, which indicates Paris 1819 – 1838. “Georgian 15ct Gold & Pearl Set Brooch” Circa 1820. The brooch is in very good condition with no dings or dents and the pin and safety chain are intact. The brooch is set with half pearls which seem well matched (there is one small pearl missing commensurate with its age and use however this could easily be replaced). It is not hallmarked but has been tested as a minimum of 15 carat gold. It measures 37mm across x 29mm and it weighs a heavy 7.3 grams. The blades are full, no evidence of sharpening, some light spots of patina/pitting. The blades look better in person, than in the photos. Beautiful scalloped and carved premium colorful pearl scales, no cracks or chips, with gold clamshell bolsters, over chased and file worked spacers. Beautiful box, with anchor scrimshaw on the front, with purple velvet interior. End pieces are missing at both ends of the box, but this is not visible from the front or the back views, so the flaws at the ends are not distracting at all. Scarce outstanding early set! Georgian Diamonds set in Blue Glass with Seed Pearl Surround Gold Pendant

Here is a sweet Georgian gold pendant set with a dark blue glass cabochon with lines carved into the gold work that shows through to the front with silver work on top of a sentimental Forget me Not design set with tiny rose cut diamonds. Natural half pearls surround it with and additional wired tiny seed pearl surround that I have suspended from a black silk ribbon for wearing. It is high carat gold, it is unmarked for metal content as was typical of the era (late 1700s) but it’s more than 14kt. The pendant has a beautiful layered effect and measures just over 1″ x 3/4″. I have had this lovely treasure in my sentimental mourning antique jewelry collection for many years but only wore it one time. Even though all of the diamonds are prong set down into the silver design, one of them came out and was never found, so one diamond is amiss and that is possible too for the outer layer of the seed pearls but I can’t say for sure because I bought it this way; those are on a gold wire. It could probably use a good cleaning but since it’s older and closed back with pearls it cannot be immersed. I love it but I never wear it so here it is; probably for someone who is familiar with old jewelry and can have another tiny diamond set back in so it’s value would be significantly increased.
