Stamped 9ct to side (though partially rubbed away with age); also jeweller tested. In an oval, open setting, with a spider to the left side; allows for clothing colour of choice to be worn beneath the brooch. The spider has a seed pearl head and gem stone body (unsure what stone is, may be paste). Ball hinge, pin and’c’ catch. Measurements: 34mm by 15mm. IM SO SORRY to all that are watching for incresing the starting price but i have been told this is a very rare collectable which if unsold will be refurbished. I do hope that this has not upset anyone and sincerely apologise if i have. This beautiful early Victorian 15ct gold turquoise and split pearl locket of oval outline, with split pearl and circular turquoise cabochon cluster, within a star surround. You will see within the photographs it has a length of approximately 3.3 centimetres and apart from a very smal split its in exceptional condition. Now like lots of early Victorian jewellery it hasn’t any hallmarks I can see however like all my jewellery it has been tested at the plus gold company in the jewellery quarter Birmingham with a XRI analyser gun which is 100 % accurate and none invasive. So i can guarantee that this is solid 15ct gold.
