Rare Victorian c1890 Turquoise and Pearl 14K Gold Festoon Necklace 14.5 14.7g

A magnificent English late Victorian circa 1890 festoon necklace in 14K gold with natural turquoise and cultured pearl drops. The total length of the necklace is 14.5 inches (approx 37 cm). There are a total of seven (7) turquoise teardrops, measuring approx 12mm (L) x 7mm (width at widest point). Seven turquoise cabochons, bezel set, round, with diameter approx. Twenty two seed pearls, bezel set, round, ranging in size from 1.7mm diameter to 2.4mm diameter. There are no visible hallmarks, but the gold has been acid tested at 14K. The length of the center drop, from cabochon to end of teardrop is 34mm. The hook and eye clasp is fully functional. The entire piece is in pristine condition. This is a rare, museum quality item. All turquoise and pearl natural and original antique. Please see photos for more details. Vintage Designer Trifari Earrings. Here is a very beautiful and hard to find vintage earring set, designed by Trifari. This gorgeous set is from the designer’s highly coveted 1959 “Sorrento” jewelry collection. These pieces are exquisitely fashioned in a floral and leaf motif with very attractive and unusually shaped luminous faux baroque pearls (also knows as “baby tooth”) and glittering smoky gray rhinestones, all set in a gleaming gold tone metal setting. The faux pearls flowers have gold tone textured leaves with unfurling tips that are embellished with gorgeous accents of shimmering pave set smoky gray rhinestones made to resemble black diamonds. The earrings are in a clip-on style. Pieces from this particular line of jewelry were featured in the “Sorrento” collection in a 1959 magazine advertisement for Trifari. I have enclosed in my pictures a copy of the ad for reference. The earrings measure 6/8″ x 1″. This fabulous jewelry is in great vintage condition. The Bangle has an internal circumference of 6 5/8″ (16.7 cm) with the safety chain 2 3/4″ in length and a weight of 6.07 grams.
