Victorian Diamond Ruby Sapphire and Pearl Butterfly Brooch Gold, Silver Set

This is a gold and silver beautiful butterfly brooch from the mid victorian period. The butterfly plays host to 4 seed pearls, 2 sapphires, 8 rubies and an array of rose cut diamonds. The coloured stones are set in yellow gold and the diamonds are silver set to enhance there sparkle. The rubies are a deep red and the blue sapphires have a medium hue. There is also a safety pin for reassurance when wearing. The clip at the back of the brooch unscrews allowing you to use it as a pendant, we are unsure exactly how but would say you put a chain through the antenna section. Unhallmarked as with a lot of Victorian pieces but i can guarantee that this is an 18ct gold item of period. The gold has been tested with an XRF gold gun analyser- so completely accurate and guaranteed. Length of chain 16.5, 42cms. Pendant 1.2, 3cms. This is a Victorian period piece and shows signs that you would expect with an item of this age. No damage just general wear, Ive taken accurate and clear photos to show the condition which in my opinion is very good- this piece has obviously been looked after well.
