Antique French Gold Chatelaine Seed Pearl Set Gold Ladies Verge Fob Watch In Box

Antique French Gold Chatelaine Seed Pearl Set Gold Ladies Verge Fob Watch In Box. I cant see too clearly inside the tiny move ent but I believe this to be a verge escapement. The movement looks as if it has quite a lot wrong with it. The watch itself with its 28mm approx. Diameter dial is cased in gold. The case tests as 18ct. The chatelaine clip though is Pinchbeck or similar. The whole thing measures approx 115mm top to bottom and comes in its fitted box bearing the name of the French Fabricant, DURAND-LERICHE. So, in conclusion, here is a non going but early watch, in its original box but needing a lot of work to get it going (fusee chain, a couple of broken pivots etc). Movement and dial are nice and bright though. Case is nice and crisp but could do with its back being reattached where there is a slit between the main body and the engine turned seed pearl set back, although this work is not essential. As it is it is a lovely piece of jewellery and it is being offered at a firm price.
