Antique Victorian 14KT Gold. Taille dEpargne Seed Pearl Earrings & Brooch Pin Set. This is a truly gorgeous original condition 3 piece Victorian Taille dEpargne mourning jewelry set! This is a rare find, a complete 3 piece set, with such stunning detail and craftsmanship! Great overall original condition, please see photos for close-up details and use the Zoom to appreciate the fine detail work. Earrings and brooch measure 2 with tassels. The brooch is marked “14” on the reverse; the pin and a couple tassels are missing, but the pin would be an easy repair for most jewelers and the tassels are not noticeable but could also be repaired if desired. The face of the brooch is in otherwise complete intact condition with all pearls and enameling. The earrings are fully complete original condition with all pearls and enameling as well. All pieces were delicately tested as gold, and higher than 14KT, but below 18KT. Total weight with pearls is 17+ grams, last 2 photos show the size and weight. The earring back / findings are 20th century replacements. The collection consists of 5 articles of jewelry. Two brooches, a necklace with pendant and two pairs of earrings. The pieces are made of Seed Pearls sewn over carved mother of pearl with horse hair. The metal is mostly solid yellow gold but the post earrings have a steel backing as well as gold. Georgian Jewelry 1714 1830. By Ginny Redington Dawes and Olivia Collings, Seed pearls, tiny natural pearls from India, were essential part of Georgian jewellery. They were made into long tasseled sautiors, or threaded into intricate designs to support slides and clasps, out sued as surrounds for gemstones. The necklace clasp is hallmarked 14K. It measures 18.5″ long, the pendant measures 1.9″ x. The Cross Brooch measures 1.6″ x 1.2″. The back is engraved From Fletcher Dec. 19th 1854 The gold tests as 18K. The large flower brooch measures 3.75″ x 2.1″. The gold tests as 14k. The long screw back earrings measure 2.2 x. The screw backs are hallmarked 10K. The post earrings measure. Ladies 15ct gold antique dress ring, set with Seed Pearls and Almandine Garnets

Ladies 15ct gold antique dress ring, set with Seed Pearls and Almandine Garnets. This ring is stunning and considering it’s age it’s in fairly good condition too. The ring is antique and we have dated it Birmingham 1899. The top of the ring has a diamond shaped setting which has a row of 5 Seed pearls running along the centre of it. Set on both sides of the pears are 3 Almandine Garnets. The centre pearl is the largest and measures at 4mm in diameter. The Garnet stones each measure at 2.2mm diameter. The rings setting measures at 10.5mm wide. The shank of the ring has a beautiful design running along it which really adds to the character of the ring, this design is something you don’t see on rings these days and a lot of time and effort has been put into this ring whilst making it. The very bottom outside edge of the shank has a small area where the ring looks to of had a repair. Grab yourself a beautiful ring which is full of history and character. UK Ring Size – J 1/2.
