The earring back / findings are 20th century replacements. The collection consists of 5 articles of jewelry. Two brooches, a necklace with pendant and two pairs of earrings. The pieces are made of Seed Pearls sewn over carved mother of pearl with horse hair. The metal is mostly solid yellow gold but the post earrings have a steel backing as well as gold. Georgian Jewelry 1714 1830. By Ginny Redington Dawes and Olivia Collings, Seed pearls, tiny natural pearls from India, were essential part of Georgian jewellery. They were made into long tasseled sautiors, or threaded into intricate designs to support slides and clasps, out sued as surrounds for gemstones. The necklace clasp is hallmarked 14K. It measures 18.5″ long, the pendant measures 1.9″ x. The Cross Brooch measures 1.6″ x 1.2″. The back is engraved From Fletcher Dec. 19th 1854 The gold tests as 18K. The large flower brooch measures 3.75″ x 2.1″. The gold tests as 14k. The long screw back earrings measure 2.2 x. The screw backs are hallmarked 10K. The post earrings measure. Ladies 15ct gold antique dress ring, set with Seed Pearls and Almandine Garnets

Ladies 15ct gold antique dress ring, set with Seed Pearls and Almandine Garnets. This ring is stunning and considering it’s age it’s in fairly good condition too. The ring is antique and we have dated it Birmingham 1899. The top of the ring has a diamond shaped setting which has a row of 5 Seed pearls running along the centre of it. Set on both sides of the pears are 3 Almandine Garnets. The centre pearl is the largest and measures at 4mm in diameter. The Garnet stones each measure at 2.2mm diameter. The rings setting measures at 10.5mm wide. The shank of the ring has a beautiful design running along it which really adds to the character of the ring, this design is something you don’t see on rings these days and a lot of time and effort has been put into this ring whilst making it. The very bottom outside edge of the shank has a small area where the ring looks to of had a repair. Grab yourself a beautiful ring which is full of history and character. UK Ring Size – J 1/2. 1900s Victorian SEED PEARL NECKLACE Earrings Set Its Fragile, Its in Need of Repair or Up-cycling…. See photos for detail of exactly what you will receive. I saw a beautiful set that jeweler custom created a beautiful new gold edge setting that retains the design and adds boldness to the design. Ask for pics if you want to see this alteration I saw, it might be a great option to repairing this while giving extra safety net to jewels and strength. This set is in its original Blue Velvet Box 18K gold clasp (I need to confirm that this is 18K and not 14K) earrings are clip style not pierced. This set was my grandmothers (original owner) and it clearly appears to have had repairs with some kind of glue. The entire set is all original and any damages or breakage in the strands have not been replaced by any kind of beading that was not originally part of this set. I have a small packet of loose beads included. It is very fragile and could use proper repairs or could be made into something else. A friend suggested this would be beautiful in 3D frame and hang in ornate frame which would be a perfect place to display this…. The newspaper clipping from the Antique Roadshow is only to show you a similar piece of jewelry that they ran a story on. I will happily arrange pre-viewing of this item at a local jeweler. Victorian 18K Yellow Gold Turquoise Seed Pearl Dangle Earrings Brooch set

Up for sale is a magnificent vintage set finely handcrafted in 18K yellow gold. Dates back to Victorian era, 19th century. Includes a pair of earrings and coordinating brooch that can also be worn as a pendant. Shaped as a disc with recessed border decorated with stenciled motif. The large spear at the center is pierced with a delicate chain terminated with elongateted spearheads each set with seed pearl and decorated with black stenciling. The central motif is overlapped with a domed row of channel-set turquoise gems. The dangle earrings feature four flexibly connected segments that move catching and reflecting light from various angles. The top and bottom segments are made of solid white gold set with diamonds and sapphires. Two middle segments are made of perforated white gold that is also set with numerous white diamonds and three cornflower-blue sapphires. The bracelet is made of semi-flexibly connected perforated gold segments alternately set with diamonds / diamonds with sapphires. All the photos are of an actual items offered for sale. The earrings measure 16 mm in diameter, 44 mm long at longest including french wire and dangling spear heads. The brooch measures 28 mm in diameter, 50 mm long at longest including dangling spear heads. Weight: 11.2 grams for the entire set. Turquoise: Count: 17 (7 on the brooch + 10 on the earrings – 5 on each earring). Seed pearls: Count: 6. This is an estate set in excellent condition considering the age of this beautiful set.
