Fine Victorian 9ct Gold Natural Seed Pearl Set Star Pendant / Brooch, Pearl Bale

This is a fine 9ct Gold Natural Seed Pearl Set Star Pendant or Brooch. Late Victorian, C1880, and marked 9ct on the reverse, the pearls are beautifully and delicately set into an elegant star shape, so popular in the Victorian period. It has one larger pearl set slightly proud in the centre, eighteen of the same size set around it, and six smaller pearls at the points, and with a further one on the bale. It measures 3cm in diameter, (1.25), and weighs 4 grams. It has a delicately shaped gold bale with inset pearl for hanging onto a chain should you wish, all original. There has been no restoration to this piece and is all in beautiful condition as can be seen from my photos. Antique Edwardian 10K gold ornate setting ring. A faceted synthetic ruby is topped with 2 fiery opals. Six seed pearls curve around the stones. 5 inch tall on the face, and is a size 7 – 7.25. The opal in the bottom of picture one has two prongs that are missing their very tips. The prongs are mostly all present, & the opal is strong & tight in the setting.
