An exceptional service from the point of view of its design as well as the quality of the engraving, mother of pearl and gilding. Decoration extremely rare with three colors : yellow gold, pink gold and silver. Both design and quality of workmanship are uncommon, and its manufacture would have necessitated many more hours work than usual. This is a gold and silver beautiful butterfly brooch from the mid victorian period. The butterfly plays host to 4 seed pearls, 2 sapphires, 8 rubies and an array of rose cut diamonds. The coloured stones are set in yellow gold and the diamonds are silver set to enhance there sparkle. The rubies are a deep red and the blue sapphires have a medium hue. There is also a safety pin for reassurance when wearing. The clip at the back of the brooch unscrews allowing you to use it as a pendant, we are unsure exactly how but would say you put a chain through the antenna section.
