Vintage 10K Gold Modernist Tension Set 5MM Akoya Pearl Bypass Solitaire Ring Sz6

Vintage Mid Century Modernist 10k Gold 5.5MM Akoya Pearl Solitaire Ring UNIQUE. Vintage Modernist 10k Gold 5.5MM Akoya Pearl Bypass Tension Set Solitaire Ring UNIQUE. It is definitely not a “cookie cutter” big box store type of ring you see on everybody. This ring is circa 1960s. It’s done in 10k solid gold, and the mounting is very different. The 5.5 mm Akoya pearl has great lustre and what looks to be thick nacre. I see no blemishes. The setting has two squared offset bars of gold underneath the pearl which bypass each other, and two more squared bars of gold which rise up on each side in a cathedral fashion and make the pearl look “tension set” with no prongs! The face measures 3/8″ wide and sits up 5/16″ off the finger. It is hallmarked P10k (P for Plumb Gold, meaning solid 10k, no more and no less) in a raised cartouche under the pearl. Sweet PEARL Antique Art NOUVEAU 14k Gold Ring Solitaire Tall Crown Set Etched

Sweet little antique natural pearl solitaire in a tall, crown like setting. Really makes a statement the way it stands off the finger. Would be the perfect stacking ring with interesting and beautiful setting and lovely iridescent pearl that reflects a faint blue and creamy white color. Shoulders are ornately etched. The pearl is not glued but has a small rivet in the center connecting it to the closed back setting. Hallmarks have worn but the person I bought it from had it professionally tested and it tested at 14k for me as well. Antique Box not included. Ring is currently about a size 5 3/4, a little under. The pearl is about 7 mm in diameter. The setting stands a little over 9mm off the finger so a dramatic setting. Please note that all my pieces are in estate condition. Some discoloration from age and the ring face has slightly irregular reticulated details from age. The cutouts are intentional but from age they have varied in size slightly, only noticeable when studying it up close from the underside. A few shallow nicks and surface wear to the band from age but it is a sturdy band. But of course due to age – Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. The maker we think is CJ, ltd and it has some rubbed hallmarks for 9ct gold and was made in London. Overall the condition is good apart from the rubbed marks. This ring was acquired from a reputable jeweler and is guaranteed to be what it claims. It is a vintage ring although we are not sure of it, s age. We have acquired a few high quality rings in different price brackets over the past few months and you can be assured of there authenticity.
