Circa 1870..80’s Unmarked: Test as 15 ct (or higher) Gold Dimensions; Setting 8 mm in diameter Length 49 mm each Combined weight; 1.8 grams Pearls are 3 mm in diameter each. They retain their beautiful lustre. All items are in very good original condition. Free from any engraved presentation inscriptions or monogrames. Clean and ready for use. For your consideration, this rare antique 18k gold Art Nouveau Plique A Jour polychrome enamel pearl & gem set insect fly stick pin. Insect pin’s lower wing portion features a light green & blue plique a jour enamel, and the upper wings have a salmon and light green colored enamel. Insect has a baroque pearl body, a blue gem set center, and cabochon red eyes. Presented in very good overall condition with some enamel loss to the tip of one wing, pin has a slight bow to it, shows normal wear for age (See photos). Unique mounting with two (2) prong set emeralds and two (2) channel set emeralds and two (2) rows of four (4) authentic prong set diamonds graduating in size and one (1) 5.5-6mm pearl in center. Mounting measures approximately 7/8″ long and 5/8″ wide. Pin measures 1 5/8 long. Weighs 2.7 grams. The pin is in excellent condition with no noted flaws. Unmarked but tests to be 14K.
