Stunning Antique Georgian Regency 15ct Gold Ruby & Pearl set Cluster Ring c1820

Stunning Georgian Regency Period Ruby & Pearl Cluster Ring c1820. A rare & stunning Regency Period Gold Ruby & Pearl Cluster Ring, which dates to c1820. (please see the detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of the item’s description). This wonderful Antique Ring, which weighs 3.1 grams, has a reeded shank leading to the beautiful floral decorated tri-furcated shoulders supporting the circular bezel (diameter approx’ 9.0mm), which is set centrally with a Ruby surrounded by six Pearls interspersed by a further six smaller Rubies to create a ring that is simply sublime. As shown the ring is complete with it’s original bevelled glazed locket back with hairwork panel behind the bezel. Typical of the period, the ring is unmarked but it is guaranteed to be made from solid Gold (testing at approx’ 15 carat). Overall the ring is in really great condition with only wear, as shown, commensurate with a ring that was a loved and treasured possession. On close examination the ring has been re-sized a couple of times and a slightly Rose coloured piece has been inserted to enlarge the reeded shank – this won’t be noticed when the ring is worn and more mentioning for descriptive completeness. This superb Regency Ring is sized as a UK Ring Size’O 1/2′, which equates to a US Ring Size’7 1/2′; as with almost all antique rings the band is slightly ovalized i. E it is not perfectly round and it measures slightly differently on the gauge depending on how it is positioned, however this will not affect the ring when worn. Stunning Murrle Bennett 15ct Gold Opal & Pearl set Pendant c1900

Murrle Bennett & Co 15ct Gold Opal & Seed Pearl Pendant c1900. (please see the detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of the item’s description). The body of the Pendant has a scalloped pentafoil shape, centrally set with a round Opal Cabochon in a millegrain setting surrounded by Seed Pearls with further garland decoration similarly set with fine Seed Pearls. The Pendant is suspended from a Pearl set bale and terminates with an articulated Pearl set Long Drop suspending an oval collet – millegrain set with an Opal Cabochon, which complements the central stone perfectly. He Opals display a fabulous play of colours with good green & pink fire being the predominant colours against a white background. The Pendant is stamped’15c’ on the reverse confirming that it is made from solid 15ct Gold and it is stamped with the co-joined maker’s mark’MB & Co’ for Murrle Bennett & Co, as shown, which was an Anglo/German company that produced jewellery for the iconic Liberty & Co of London among others and is now regarded as one of the most important makers of the period. This fabulous Pendant has the following dimensions. It has a total length of approx’ – 5.5cms (including bale). It has a width of approx’ – 2.3cms wide; and. The Pendant weighs – 4.0 grams. Overall this stunning little Pendant, is in great condition with only wear commensurate with age as shown; there may be a tiny historic repair to the reverse and on close examination with a loupe the central Opal has a shallow chip to the top surface of the Opal near the top of the stone – this not visible to the naked eye and won’t be noticed when worn but mentioning for descriptive completeness. His is a rare & stunningly beautiful Victorian 15ct Gold Opal & Seed Pearl set Pendant dating to c1900; which was made by the highly respected Anglo German Company of Murrle Bennett & Co – it is quite simply sublime.
