SUPER VERY EARLY Wahl GOLD SEAL Deco-Band SET with 14K SIGNATURE Nib Pearl / Black

Unusual and early Wahl GOLD SEAL fountain pen and Eversharp pencil set in near mint Pearl and Black plastic with a fine SIGNATURE nib. Almost no ambering at all to the beautiful plastic. This pen has been completely disassembled and cleaned with a new sac installed. The pocket clips are tight and in perfect condition. The cap screws on securely and smoothly. Threads are clean as a whistle. This is larger than later versions and is PRE personal point as shown in the pictures. The clip on the pen states only WAHL and the clip on the pencil states only EVERSHARP. Not a common set in very near mint condition. The lever shows just the tiniest spots of wear to the gold fill at the high point. The pens clip is slightly imperfect as pictured and there are signs of tool marks underneath in the plastic where someone worked at reshaping it. The 14K Wahl-Eversharp GOLD SEAL nib has plenty of iridium as pictured. It is marked SIGNATURE and is fine and flexible. As mentioned above, this is an early model which does not have the removable personal point nib. The OVERSIZED pen is 5 3/8 inches long capped and 7 inches posted for writing. The cap is a hair under 5/8 inch in diameter. See pictures for detail! I will pay for the item to be insured for actual sale price. It has been finished with wonderful detail, being set with beautiful natural seed pearls and a single turquoise centre stone. The ring is hallmarked which includes a date letter which dates it to 1899. The condition is very good, even though it is 117 Years Old.
